About Coastal Impact Foundation
Coastal Impact Foundation was created with one simple belief: every athlete deserves the opportunity to play, grow, and thrive through the game of lacrosse.
Serving families across the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware, Coastal Impact works to remove financial barriers that can prevent athletes from participating in club lacrosse. Through fundraising, community support, and strategic partnerships, the foundation helps make the game more accessible, affordable, and achievable for all.
At its core, Coastal Impact is about more than lacrosse. It’s about building confidence, creating opportunities, and giving athletes a place to belong. The lessons learned through the game—hard work, resilience, teamwork—extend far beyond the field, shaping who these athletes become in life.
Our Story
Coastal Impact Foundation was founded by Emily Ewin, whose journey with lacrosse is rooted in both passion and perseverance.
Although Emily fell in love with the game at a young age, she never had the opportunity to play club lacrosse herself. Despite that, she built a successful career, playing at the collegiate level and dedicating more than a decade to coaching and developing young athletes.
In 2022, Emily became the Director of Coastal Lacrosse Academy in Delaware, where she continued to invest in the growth of the game and the athletes within it. Through her experience, she recognized a consistent challenge: talented, driven athletes were being held back by financial barriers.
Coastal Impact Foundation was created to change that.
Her vision is simple but powerful—to ensure that no athlete is ever denied an opportunity because of cost, and that every player who loves the game has a path forward.
What We DO
We provide financial assistance and scholarships to athletes and families.
We support club dues, tournament fees, and travel expenses.
We partner with local recreation & club lacrosse programs to expand access and opportunity.
We fundraise through community events, sponsorships, and donations.
We advocate for inclusivity and growth within the sport.
What We DO
Club lacrosse can open doors—to high-level competition, college recruitment, and lifelong friendships. But for many families, the cost can put those opportunities out of reach.
Coastal Impact Foundation exists to bridge that gap.
Because when access increases, so does confidence, opportunity, and the future for every athlete we serve.
